Hi Everyone.

That would be a great idea to meet up one time Janice, we'll have to make plans next time your down this way meet up at Bickley or somewhere.

I do have something to share, I have linked this back to my own photo editor, so I hope you will allow this to be posted Mr Farmer as its my own site. A friend made this and posted it on another forum which I use, its so funny, I cracked up when I saw it. Its called puzzled and will see why.

Elsie, I think thats a lovely idea for Janice and Claire to meet and put a face to the name. I know we are friends but it would be lovely to see what you actually look like. We know what some of the forum members look like, by that I mean those who visit Denbury, Julia when can we expect to see you feeding the badgers this year? Elaine

Elsie, Nice thought, I don't think anyone would want to meet up with me today however, I have a streaming cold!!Just what you need on holiday eh?
Noticed Claire hasn't posted over the last few days. are you o.k. or just engrossed in the tennis?
The weather is really nice, bit too humid though, but it's set to change a bit from Thursday, the gardens look like they need a bit of rain. Just hoping next Thursday is fine, that's the day of the wedding we are attending in Plymouth.
Managing to get still pictures on the webcams at times, so can at least see the ospreys/owls for a short time.

Just looking in on the Osprey Mabel was on her perch looking out on to the Loch then she took off whilst i looked away she must have gone fishing. The chicks stood up and stretched their wings. One of them is frantically flapping its wings, exercising them no doubt getting them ready for flight, it wont be long ladies before they take to the skies. Karen Stoke

Hi everyone i have been trying to get a quick look around the cameras for the last couple of weeks but everytime i get back into the house the electrician has decided to turn the power off to do something else. We have been to Sheffield steam rally this weekend it has been glorious and very busy we take our shop and sell odds and ends and all in all have a very busy but enjoyable weekend. Karen I was asked to help with a bit of sewing which then turned into adapting patterns because they couldnt find the right ones then i had 10 dresses to make. It was then decided that they would look better with white panels and laces in the front and then we had another problem with needing 5 waistcoats and no pattern but i managed to get the work done all but sewing the buttons on before the workmen came. I have been having a kitchen bathroom and central heating upgrade. What a mess. I have dealt with messy workmen before but these are really taking the biscuit. It is supposed to be finished on friday but i cant see that happening they still have to come back to several jobs they havent finished. I was so glad to get away this weekend. I have been spending all day in my caravan in the front garden for the last 2 weeks. I feel like a gypsy and with no proper bathroom i probably look like one too. well robin surely that will get a comment if you are watching lol. Take care everyone Sue. N Notts.

HAve just copied this from the Osprey blog at the Loch thought you all might to read and share this:
Hope its not too long Mr Farmer! Elaine

When the days are growing longer and spring is in the air we look to the horizon and scan the sky and stare
For coming into vision is a figure so well known, after long bleak months of waiting, Our Lady’s come back home!

She gathers sticks and bedding, prepares the nest with care, she looks towards the southern skies but Eric isn’t there. She waits and then grown anxious, for time is moving fast, then into sight flies 7Y – a mate for her at last!

The courtship starts in earnest and soon 3 eggs are laid, she starts her lonely vigil to keep them warm and safe. At first the male is loopy, brings sticks and moss galore, but that don’t feed a hungry girl who needs fish by the score.

The eggs are soon at hatching point, first one and then the other, the third left whole, must be a dud, once more she is a mother. The chicks grow stronger every day and Frank has been a treasure Our Lady gently feeds her young to watch has been a pleasure.

But then one night she falls so ill, no strength in her frail form, we all shed tears and pray that she will stay with us till morn. For two whole days she lay so still, no food or drink she took, her chicks were fed by father Frank, all we could do was look.

Then Monday came, she raised her head, she still looked so unsteady – throughout the day she came alive, then suddenly she was ready. She looked around and saw the Loch – the gift of life was there, she spread her wings and took a chance then soared into the air.

She stunned us all and made the press, her fame spread for a reason, her life goes on her chicks grow big, she’s had a stressful season. Her story isn’t over yet, the chicks still need their Mum, but soon they’ll fledge and feed themselves then Lady’s work is done.

She needs to feed, build up reserves, and heal her weakened heart, and soon instinct will tell her, her journey south must start. We’ll watch her go with heavy heart, she’ll leave an empty space. Will she return? We do not know. But no one can take her place.

I feel priviledged to have witnessed this majestic ospreys story, and have learnt so much in three short months May she reign in all her glory.

Mary.seems like the arthritis is now in my hip. must see the GP this week to find out. Must say the pain at night time is not nice at all, so what with my back problem, and my other arthritis I am not doing bad at all!!!. Just been looking at the goslings and what a size they are, wonder if they will leave Denbury or stay like they do at LOLs. A lot do seem to stay in our country. Isn't Lady doing well after that awful illness she had, the chicks are really growing now, it will be sad to see them go. Still no word from Robin so Iam taking it he is poorly. Elsie

Hello everyone. Owl cam on at the moment, and I've just had a look. There they are, all three 'puffballs', so close together, that they form a fluffy triangle. My goodness, how they have grown! It's lovely to see them all surviving so well. Later we will have the drama of each one trying to get up to that hole at the back. I always feel sorry for the last and smallest one, left abandoned eventually, by the other two. Of course I've been looking at 'our' ospreys and rejoicing that gradually, the Lady is putting on a bit of weight after all her traumas. She needs to eat, and not perhaps give so much of a fish to those ever hungry chicks! Am also watching Andy Murray at the same time and then dodging over to see how Nadal will be doing. Much needed watering of the garden will just have to wait I'm afraid.

Just to glad the worst has not happened. Rose W'canton
