We are aware that an Owlet has fallen from the nestbox and we are currently in communication with the farmer in order to have the Owlet checked over and hopefully returned to the box. Due to the high volume of calls and e-mails we are receiving, we are requesting that everyone follows the Owlets progress on our nest cam diary where any new developments and updates will be posted:

We have had torrential rain all night and it is still pouring down there is a street in town flooded and the main road between Perth and Dundee is blocked because of flooding. I think I may be to blame as I asked for "some" rain but I have to say I didnt want this much. I do hope that Mabel Mac and the chicks find somewhere dry to roost. I also hope that the wee owlet is ok.

wow the owls seem to be very busy this year, just goes to show how important it is for the trust to put owl boxes up, if they fall out of the nest this often in the wild, its not surprising that they are in decline.
Didn't get a picture of the hedgehog, hubby got the camera just as it ran back into the hedge, sorry :( I will try again, I think it was eating peanuts that were in the bird food, so I'm going to do a 'Mr Farmer' and put some down tonight to see if it will come back :)
Lindsay, we went to Pitlochry, I would like to go back to that area again. I was looking at staying at Loch Garten Lodges as it is within walking distance of the Osprey centre, do any of you know if that is a good place to stay?
(Hope Mr Farmer you don't mind me asking)

Karen Stoke, I have a program called Snipping Tool on our computer and you can watch a web cam like with the fox and badger and actually "take a snip" of them and file under "my pictures" or whatever. I took two or three but don't know how they would turn out on the Gallery. I keep forgetting to watch the cams late at night while you are watching them and seeing all sorts of different things, but now it is about 10:30 our time so I will go through all the cams and see what is there. I think I found you on Facebook?? Rosie's Mum in Toronto

2.45AM Still only 2 owlets on the ledge, none inside. Hopefully the owner will have put a bouncy castle underneath. Don't remember this last year at all but I guess they do fall out of nests.

Smallest one was knocked off when food was delivered earlier.

Oh dear! One owlet back in box pulling a mouse to bits and eating it, another owlet out on the tray screeching and no sign of the other owlet so I guess it has toppled of the tray again. Hope it will be okay. Norfolk Gal Pam.

One owl gone walkabout again!! One in box, one on ledge and no doubt one on the floor!! In the three years I've been watching I've never seen this happen before.

Has anybody seen the Owlets being fed?I just wonder if they are very hungry and that is why they have left the nest box? I can't remember in the past them going "walkabout" this early.
Jan another nice place to stay is around the Pitlochry and Killiecrankie area.It is steeped in history and beautiful in Autumn when the colours are changing.Lindsay

Very heavy rain here all afternoon and evening and a thunderstorm thrown in.We were desperate for the rain but this is ridiculous. It will be flattening the crops and now we have a flood warning. What happened to steady rain?Lindsay North Yorkshire.

Another worrying night ahead all three owlets are out on the tray. I do hope none of them falls. We have had a very humid and uncomfortable day so I think it will be a restless night ahead. We are needing some rain as I am having to water my tubs every night. Ken are you North or South of Loch Tummel. Val Perth

Evening Ken, what a beautiful Loch, hubby and I visited Loch Tummel, last year, we went up 'Queens View' I think it was called, the views were stunning. We stayed in a small cottage near Fortingall, just outside Aberfeldy. The area was lovely we also visited LOTL's while there. I remember Val, Perth suggested looking in that area when I asked on the forum last year. Hope to come back up again, but will have to be next year.
Its been so hot and sticky here the last couple of days, wish it would rain for longer than 5 minutes. The swifts are very noisy tonight, just screamed overhead, its one of those sounds that I look forward to in summer.
Hope your ok Robin, and its just your computer playing up.

Hi Ladies !!

Ken here, I now have the Loch camera working. I did see from the blog that they had a power cut. My wife and I are just back from a few days at Loch Tummel and we popped into the reserve and joined the Wildlife Trust at the visitor centre. We spent some time in the hide there and spoke to the staff. We live only an hour from there but as usual when things are on your doorstep we had not taken the time to visit before.

Regards...Ken

One of the nice things about living in Florida is we have Ospreys all year long. When I go to work I have to cross this real high bridge (about 65 foot clearance for water traffic), it allows sail boats to go under without having to stop traffic and open the bridge up. Every evening on the way home when I cross the bridge there is an Osprey sitting on the railing looking down at the water as traffic wizzes by him. I wished I could get a picture of him but its hard to drive and take a picture. Maybe one of these days. Also behind my house is a small river and there's a Osprey nest there. This weekend while I was out working in my garden, the Ospreys took the sky and letting the world know they were up in the sky. I love watching them.

Karen Stoke, thanks for remembering about my dogs and the butterflies. The boys are doing great and right now I have about 30 black swallowtail caterpillars. Even though I haven't written much, I still read the forum and as always, love your stories.
