Val.
It's not just you, I can't get Denbury 1 and 3 either.
I agree with Jan, I couldn't get that close to big moths either, but they are lovely to look at.

Jill, what lovely photos, your brave, theres no way I would get that close to big moths. I did see both owls in the barn last night, but they are very active now, no longer babies. Haven't looked at cameras yet Val but I couldn't get one of them last night, got error message.

I have been away for a few days so havnt posted. I love the new look gallery and look forward to seeing some nice pics. I totally agree with what you said Jill about how this site means a lot to all of us. It is lovely to see the two owlets sitting together on the tray this morning, I think that they are having a nap.I have missed my daily trips round the cams but intend to make up for it today.Hope everyone is well. How lovely to see and read all the information that is so kindly given in both the Forum and the Diary,as when time does not permit a full round up of the web cams to be able to gather the information and follow the trend from those of you who keep everyone informed, is so helpful. Also the new photo gallery is becoming another reference to all the varied colours and different types of our wild creatures.
Wonder if 'Denbury Cider' will take the market by storm later this year?
Thanks everyone for such interesting comments.

Welcome to the forum whoever it was posting at 12.22 - can you please put your name at the end next time so we know who you are?
Gal Pam Norfolk, I've only seen one owlet tonight feeding on a vole - maybe the older one is able to catch its own food now - they are so close to fledging and leaving the nestbox ...nite all, Jill

i didn't even know this forum existed. I've been watching marge at the loch of the lowes for years and visit every second week or so and this year i've been watching the owlets. Fantastic stuff and better than tv. Thank you.

Vicky thank you for putting my moths on the gallery page!
Karen I'm sorry if I mis-quoted you about the black cat - maybe it was someone else that saw it and I just thought it was you LOL I see some others saw the cat tonight too - Pippa, Marie and Rosemary - it was a nice looking cat though so I wonder if its a farm cat or one that wandered in from somewhere else.
No sign of the owlets tonight at the moment - not in the box or in the barn so maybe they are both out flying outside now. I miss their screeching lol maybe they will come back home when its food time..... Jill

Beautiful moth photos on the Gallery - thank you Jill and Vicky. Just watched one of the owlets eating a mouse on the ledge outside nestbox - can't see the other owlet at the moment, though. Gal Pam. Norfolk.

Karen, I'd never seen the cat before, but at about 21:15 ish I saw the cat again, this time with 2 badgers! I've sent those pics, & the others I mentioned earlier, to the yahoo address. The trouble is, as they're only screen captures the quality isn't good, but I hope you can get to see them somehow :)

At 8.45 this evening there were three badgers happily feeding then two ran off out of shot, I looked again a minute later and there was a big black cat there! I know Karen said that she'd seen a cat there before but this was the first I'd seen of it. It spent a few minutes eating some of the butties before hopping up onto the wooden jump and running off. Two badgers playing under the bushes rough and tumbling, and now just one solitary one feeding.
Diane I'm sorry I didn't see whatever it was in the valley last night - but thats where I saw the deer the night before last.....Jill

Wow....I've never seen that on the badger cams before! A black cat, eating the 'bread etc' - about 20:45 hrs.
Later I'll send a couple of screen clips to Mr. Farmer :)

Just been looking at camera 1 where, a badger was enjoying its supper, and suddenly, a black cat steathily appeared. It was sniffing at the food put down by Mr Farmer, when the badger, turned and saw the cat and ran away! Rosemary (Plymouth)

Single fox on Cam 1 last night before the badgers arrived. He had a good feast. One badger arrived then they ate side by side for a while. Haven't seen Penny Chicago on recently are you out there Penny? So glad forum is still going and happy to see the new gallery up and running, feels like old times. Betty Canada

I haven't heard from Robin in quite a while now, as I know he is a very sick man I can't rule out that he in hospital. Had it been his computer he would have had it repaired by now. Anyway, whatever is wrong he will know all our thoughts are with him. I could scream at this weather, went out to peg towels out and it was starting to rain, now I have come back in, it has cleared up. Elsie

Just had the hatchery cam on, it is showing the valley. I put it on full screen and the tree behind the pole, shows a great big black dog with two eyes and its nose, the enchanted tree also has several faces in it! Thought we only saw them at night!
It looks by the postings I missed a good night at Denbury last night. Never mind there is always tonight to look forward too!

I wonder if the poster of the facebook issue is reading what we are putting on here? If so why don't you post your comments/feelings on here so we know who you are! You must have once belonged to our happy forum to do what you are doing!Elaine
