Its 78 today here in Florida. Went for a motorcyle ride this moring with my hubby, met our motorcycle group and had breakfast. Beautiful morning for a ride. Then I spent the morning in my greenhouse planting Fennel, Dill, Queen's Anne Lace, Milk weed and parsley, all butterfly caterpillar food for the upcoming spring butterfly season. I love my greenhouse!!

Everybody have a great weekend.

There is a Squirrel, going at the feeders on Denbury, there was a beautiful big Jay on there earlier this morning. I have just looked at the Emu i must say they are not my fave as they frighten me they remind me of overgrown Peacocks, and they absolutely terrify me lol. But the emu look beautiful in the Snow but i feel so sorry for them i bet they are freezing bless um. Karen Stoke

Brrrrrrrrr!! Another lovely day here in Denbury - all the animals are just so gorgeous!! Arnie enjoyed his treats - what a cutie he is!! It was a beautiful starry night last night - probably the reason for it being so cold today!! One thing I love about Denbury is the fact that there is no light pollution, so the stars look incredible! Chris and I walked up through the valley and visited the sheep in their field - they all came running towards us to say hello!! Chris was thrilled that his boots stayed clean - it was so icy there was no mud!! When I got back from feeding the animals with Mr. Farmer this afternoon Chris asked how many time I'd fallen down in the mud. I took a minute to realise he was talking about the mud on the back of my jacket!! The lovely friendly sheep had surrounded me looking for biscuits - Thornton's taught them well!! One had tried to climb on my back in order to get a treat - I don't think I've ever laughed quite so much!! They are brilliant!!!
Later I went to feed the meerkats - they are brilliant! "Simples"!!
Going home tomorrow, but, something else I've learnt on this visit is "You know when you've been Tangoed"!! (AND - it takes two!!!)

Julia thank you just love your updates from denbury!!!!!!!!! Must admit I do miss Mr Farmers diary updates! I did love to read them. I also loved to re read them and re live the moments he shared with us,but alas that is something that is not possible these these days! Is there anyway Mr Farmer that you could be able to get the all the diary pages back?
Have only seen one badger out tonight. Told a young boy at school tonight all about this sight do hope he managed to get on, Elaine

There's a Jay on the feeder.
I've had another lovely day - beautifully sunny although rather cold. Thornton enjoyed his ginger nuts!! The wallabys are just so cute - I love the way they pick up their food - they eat in such a classy way!! The emus are fabulous - Buster is rather amusing!! The horses are enjoying their treats, too!

Mick Unfortunately the condo we stay in charges per 15 mins to use the computer. I refuse to pay. They are very reasonable for everything except that. I asked the desk to look up an address of a gardens for me and they told me there was a computer upstairs. I just walked away to use it and she said rather rudely, there is a charge you know!! I Don't let hubby take his computer as he hardly has his nose out of it here and don't want that on holiday. Betty

Julia i hope you enjoy your stay at Denbury silly thing to say i know but you know what i mean. Will you be doing any sketching you are very good one of Arnie would be cool dont you think. I hope you can let us know what time you venture up the hill to feed our beloved Badger. I saw a Fox out earlier Jordan wont have it that people refer to them as Vermin he says well they are just idiots lol. I learnt the other day that the plural for Pheasant is nide well every night i keep asking Jordan what term is used for more than one he keeps forgetting so tonight he wrote it on his hand i said its something not a lot of people know you ask them and i bet i am right.
