Sue, sorry to hear your daughter still isn't too well and hope the whatever-it-is
soon gets sorted. Strange, though, a pupil of mine had a cyst on her eye last week which took several days to mend. Another coincidence.

Did anyone see the rats last night? There must have been 6 or 7. They are breeding like err..... rats!

Glad you are warm Betty. It's getting a little warmer here now and we've had glorious sunshine for the last few days so hoping Robin is starting to thaw out.

Had a very busy day so I'm going to get to bed early. Goodnight all.

Mr Farmer thank you for the valley on the hatchery cam. Have you got any more lambs yet? Is Thornton's niece a male or female lamb?
Has any one been watching "Lambing Live" on BBC2? Elaine

Sue Hope all is well with your daughter's procedure, fingers crossed.

Have seen male and female cardinal today, female woodpecker and chickadee. My snowdrops are out and look lovely.

Cloudy and rain for the next couple of days but warm still. Heater repaired yesterday so nice and warm indoors today

Garden is still very wet so can't get out there yet but hopefully official spring will be here soon.

Happy Mothers day for Sunday to all those in the UK, for all Mum's and also all those who are mum's to the wildlife. Our Mothers day is in May, a week away from my birthday so we tend to celebrate both together.

Interesting reading the stories. I haven't had anything like that but I have friends that I only hear from periodically and many times we have tried to call on the same day even at the same time, getting a busy signal. One friend and I even sent the same christmas card to each other, two years in a row. At work one day I was talking to the girls and saying we hadn't heard from Barb for a while and within 5 minutes the phone rang and it was her. They all called me a witch for a while, I don't know it is just a feeling, can't explain it.

Maddi your new hobby sounds great.

Val as we are the newcomers wondered if you are still about as I feel I am gatecrashing and it'd be lovely to have another newbie here with me:)
I follow all the posts and it is now part of my routine but far from being routine.
Sue hope your daughter feels better soon. When I was reading your posting and Karens I felt this chill over my body like goosebumps.I am so glad you had that experience of 'feeling' your grandmother's presence. I loved reading about it! It sounded like you both had a great closeness.
Karen. Now I definitely want to see the ghost cam!
I was just on the edge of my seat reading what you had written. Thanks ~

Sue
Hope your daughter gets on o.k. she's having a bit of a rough time of it at the moment. It does sound more like a cyst or even a boil rather than a blocked duct, I'm sure they'll get it sorted, keep us informed.
Loved the story about your Grandma, I do believe these things happen for a reason.
Robin - don't even go there!
Poor little lambs!
Have you all been watching 'Lambing Live'? It does give us an insight as to all the hard work that goes into putting meat on our table.
Claire - you're a bit quiet - are you o.k.?

All these 'tales of the unexpected' are wonderful. I had one strange thing happen to me.

In 1976 my Grandma died. My parents, for some reason, wouldn't let me go and see her in hospital. I was 18 years old, we had just started have really good chats in the kitchen, and I would have liked to see her.

Anyway, I was very sad when she died. I never got to say goodbye. Now, I need to add here that where we lived (and my parents still do - it's still 'home' to me) was owned by my grandparents and sold to my parents at some point, and they moved a few miles away.

I can remember going upstairs one evening after dinner. As I got to the top of the stairs I casually said "Hello Grandma" and carried on into my bedroom. It seemed perfectly natural for some reason, I wasn't scared and, if anything I felt relaxed about it. Some days later I was lying on my bed, facing the wall and reading a book. Suddenly someone touched my leg. I spun round but there was no-one there. Then I found myself saying "Goodbye Grandma" as I realised that she, or her presence, was in the room. Again I wasn't scared. I had been very upset that I couldn't say goodbye to her and I know that she came back to let me do that. I have never 'seen' her since even though I have wished on many occasions that I could talk to her. I think that she knew I needed to say goodbye and stayed just for that reason until she went on her final journey.

My daughter has gone into hospital this morning to have this lump thing removed. It burst during the night and we were both up at 4.40am cleaning it up. She heard the consultant saying that she didn't think it was a duct blockage (which I didn't either, it's next to the eye) and would come in early today to remove it.

I saw the female owl snoozing in the box yesterday evening. The male had just left with a loud screeching. Sue, Middlesex

Have just got the photo updates through, I think I get them about 4 days after everyone else!! Anyway, what a beautiful little lamb in photo one. It's almost 'oven ready' Robin

Val, we haven't heard from you for quite a while, are you ok? Now the weather is warming up I'm doing a garden spring clean, & starting off my veg seeds in the kitchen window, one of my neighbours died last year & her daughter has given me a lovely strawberry pot, something I've always wanted, I thought I would plant one side with herbs (chives, oregano, lemon thyme & basil) & the other with strawberries, can't wait to see it all planted up. Have you found a new hobby yet, I've started saving any small jars I come across ready for my herbal creams etc. that I hope to start making in the summer. I'm going to take a last look at the owl cam, then off to bed.
Maddi.

I have just re read my post i made a right bodge job of it. I used to watch the haunted house a lot when i joined Denbury, when the other cams went quiet late at night i would flick over to it. It was the Dining room cam i saw the little girl, there was a mirror on the wall and we all used to comment that we could make things out in it, trick of the eye it was in my opinion. I used to pop in to the room in day light to familiarise myself with the surroundings so i knew what was what. There was a rocking horse in the corner ingle i think they are called? and the girl was skipping in front off the rocking horse for what seemed ages it wasn't a glimpse i got of her, i would have put it down to imagination or trick on the eye if she was there just briefly, if i could draw i would draw her and send it in so i will try and describe again what she was wearing the dress was short to the knee with frilly petticoats just showing with bloomers with lace the dress had a blue pattern repeated on it and it tied at the waist, she was smiling and had ringlets, her hair seemed jet black, she looked well kept not a pauper type. It did make me sit up and take a sharp intake of breath i must admit and my stomach turned over in disbelief, i remember blinking a few times but she was still there when i looked back to her. I used to go back and hope to see something again but never did.

What a story that was Janette that would freak me out good style.
I am a very strong believer in premonitions i have them loads its quite strange... When my daughter was very small she was playing on the fronts with her pram and dolls. I was washing up at the time with my back to her,i was staring out of the kitchen window. She had the dog with her, i had at the time, a Red Setter they were inseparable he loved her where Nicola, went he went he was so protective of her. Then in my minds eye i saw a red car come tearing down the road and plow in to her i felt a shudder go through me i rushed out to her and as i walked back towards my flat a red car came tearing round the corner its something i will never forget, i had seen it come down the road in my minds eye but it came from the other direction even so it was freaky. Robin of course you will make it to the summer got to get your fill of the tomatoes you are going to grow!!!!
Karen I remember your posting about the little girl, Sue and I joined denbury a couple of months before Willow was born if that is any help to you so it was after that it may have even been later that year or even the following.
Mr Farmer thank you so much for putting the valley on cam 2 last night. Sadly I didn't see it until this morning. Would really have loved to see the rookery and rooks in flight. Hope all are well. Elaine
