Hello Ladies!! What a bad time I have had with the computer!!! I am sure that a WOMAN wrote all the programs so that mere males could not understand them! The problem started on the 9th when I purchased the Norton 2009 anti-virus upgrade and downloaded it. That was when the poo hit the fan! I have only just managed to get going again, well about 2hrs ago. What a hell of a time getting back on line, more by good luck than skill.. I just hope that Norton refund my money!! I spent almost 2hrs last night, this morning? trying to get through to one of the advisors, there was one heck of a queue!! Anyway I assume that this guy was in India, going by his name, very helpfull but it did no good at all. Ladies, if you need a update for your anti-virus go and buy a disc from the shop. That is what I am going to do. To all of you who are not well, God bless you and get well soon. Take care. Robin.

ha ha ha--the ED stumped them--he he he...and we should probably glad.
I like the pictures of the haying, here (at least in Minnesota and Wisconsin)haying is pretty much over-the sun is no longer hot enough or up long to dry the cut hay out before baling.

?Angela. Hope you take the kitten to a vet or your local Humane Society, for treatment. Some groups have funds for those who can't afford the cost - like a "Timmy Fund" or similar - I can't remember the name of the fund. And I hope they soon fix you up as well. Rosie's Mum in Toronto

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely thought. What an amazing group you are.
I am crying now and will use all your words for support. Sorry I am a bit selfish in not asking about anyone else. I will hope I can repay your kindness later on.
I am off to the ear specialist now. Funny thing is a month ago I adopted a kitten from an alleyway and she has a retina problem and so we both look at each other through a semi wonky eye.
Thanks again. I would love to check out your webpage Marie. Love to all of you. You have certainly helped me more than you know. As I am terrified.

Anjela--I too immediatly thought of inner ear problems when you mentioned the lack of balancce, but not being able to see clearly would cause the same thing. DON'T DELAY!! get to the specialist as soon as you can. and tell that neurologist he might be anxious TOO if he couldn't see and had no balance either. Sheesh, what do these doctors think?
I got the spring bulb-light bulb connection--HA HA HA HA. Now the ads are for the emerald Ash Borer. the only connection I can see there is the mention of crickets. But, then they might be advertising the game of cricket...I do click on them so that Mr. Farmer gets the money.
I like the light house pictures, thank you, Carol, Wolves
Uncle and I are back in Chicago chicago chicago, and the drive back was beautful. The trees are magnificant colors, and when the sun is setting and low on the horizon, the trees just glow. I wish I could have stopped to get some pictures, but we were on the interstate highway and everyone drives like lunitics.

I saw the 5 owlets all stood upright in a semi-circle in the corner of the box a short while ago, they did look quite comical and I had to smile at them!

Angela, I hope you get your problem sorted out. That feeling of being off balance is most annoying.I had it with an inner ear problem and was walking into doorways and all over the place. It made me so nervous that I thought I was losing my mind.
Darien is a pretty place. I remember passing through.one of the more expensive places to live as I recall at the time, but everywhere is now! Let us know how you are doing. I'm sure they will find the cause soon for you and give you some relief. In the meantime, we're here. :-)
Karen, Jordan can help you with those bulbs, I'm sure, and he may find creatures in the soil to interest him.:-) In the spring, he can enjoy the fruits of his labor.
No owls and the Polar Bears aren't in view this morning...harumph!

I have just gone on to Owl Cam, and i could only see 4 of the Lets. I dont know whether the 5th one is up the corner under the cam or what, or has it left the box i wonder?. When i was watching them two of the Lets, walked over to the opening of the box, seemed to stand on tip toe and peer out of the Box at exactly the same time, it was delightful to watch, then they both returned to there corner to the other two.

I have just come in from the greenhouse, i plodded in i felt so sorry for my self aching so, and the pain! i am feeling but i felt disgusted! in my self after reading Marie, Taunton post i cried and felt very grateful for my aches after all. Marie, Taunton you have touched my heart in a big way.
I hope to God Anjela, Connecticut has only my theory? and its hearing trouble.
I have got a fair bit done today, off my list i have got the greenhouse ready for next year, picked the last of my tomatoes, and they taste so sweet. I have done some weeding round Arthur's and dug his border than runs alongside the greenhouse, i shall put him some Daffi's and Tulips in for spring, in the next few days weather willing, that should cheer him up in the spring. That breaks my heart seeing how he went with his Amputation Arthur, is the sweetest man alive he really is, he is in his eighties now, but if he had not had, had his leg off he was fitter than all us lot put together, its so dam sad. Then you have all these wastrels walking about as fit as **** sorry but it maddens me, to ranting. I am having a job acclimatising to this ageing lark, i really am, but its not just the wrinkling part its everything else that comes with it, its a dam good job i have got laughter on my side, as i would have withered up way way back LOL LOL. Well enough of my moaning i need to see whats going on, on the cam`s.
I bet Margaret's tummy keeps doing that little excited turn she will be down on Denbury farm next week i am excited for her lol. Karen Stoke

Anjela hope you can see someone soon about your eyes. As Janet says it could be a detached retina and it would be best to get it looked at sooner rather than later as there is a good chance of saving as much sight as possible. I wish you good luck when you see someone about it. I only have partial sight in one eye and know how it feels to be off balance, I particularly have to take care when going down steps as after I have gone down a few I just loose the edge of them and have had one or two awful falls. I am not at all confident on my own as I don't trust what I think I can see at times and I am not very good in the dark either.

Janet like you I can't lift heavy things and do not supress sneezes as this could finally destroy the retina it is in that delicate a condition. I find it very inhibiting at times and always getting told off by my husband for doing things I shouldn't.

Marie sorry about you sight going but you sound as though you have kept going and I admire you for that.

I must say I felt better after watching the polar bears this morning as they were all playing in the pool and the cubs were being very boisterous bless them. I did manage to see the barn owlets this morning and they really make me smile when they are all in a heap keeing each other warm. They have all grown so much now and I expect they will be out of the box soon.

Karen I hope you are feeling better today you seemed to have had a rough week. I see Fred is still being Fred and of course he will wait until you have put the hoover away and then start to shake his toy and shed some more of his fur. I thinks it is called .... law if you get my drift.

We are being totally spoilt with our weather at the moment it is glorious again today. I keep finding things to wash as I love the smell of washing that has been outside drying. I know that some of you are probably not getting the same weather looking at the forecast maps but I do hope you all get a decent weekend.

Glad you will have your new computer shortly Jill. I would be lost without mine and couldn't bear to be without it.

Have a good weekend all and take care.

Anjela, when I was 18 (years and years ago!) I had a detached retina in my left eye which they thought was caused by being hit in the eye with a hockey stick. I had a shadow develop over the vision of my left eye. At that time I felt quite 'unbalanced' and 'muzzy', I remember feeling like it each day whilst I was standing at the bus stop, although I didn’t fall over.
As a result of the detached retina I was not allowed to push when my son was born!...and even now I try to be a a bit careful about lifting heavy weights or straining upwards too much which they said I should not do after the operation as it could cause the retina to detach again.
Anyway I hope that you get it all sorted out soon as it does make you feel anxious and worried not knowing what the problem is. My doctor failed to diagnose my eye problem for a few months and the delay in the eye being operated on meant that they were unable to restore much vision to that eye.
Sorry to ramble on about my eye problem, I know I have written about it on here before!
Janet(Hampshire).

Jill i am pleased to hear that your new computer comes on Sunday, i bet you cant wait.
Its another lovely Autumn, day here again it ought to stay like this till Christmas Eve then snow wouldn`t that be a bonus! wishful thinking on my part.
Well i have got to go and do some stuff in the greenhouse, then i will do some hoovering i am sick of this Fred and his loose coat lol. You should see the hairs fly off him when he shakes his stuffed dinosaur, toy there is stuffing coming out of that, and hairs off him, and Guess what he always does it when i have put the hoover away.
Anjela, Connecticut Have you thought you could have an inner ear infection of some sort? as that can make you off balance. I am always off balance, i make my self laugh the amount of time`s i have nearly gone over the hedge, whilst carrying something i dont go over now,i have it to a fine art but i am just like a circus clown most days, especially with two small dogs, under my feet. And Anjela dont get me started on the Menopause oh lord what a challenge this one is. Karen Stoke

Anjela in Connecticut, Hi i know exactly how you are feeling i lost the sight in my left eye when i was 23, and very sadly in my right eye 6 yrs ago and now registered blind, i shall be 64 next week,.
i have a rare inflammatory infection which not a lot is known about ,it devastated my life i can tell you , i got up one morning while we were on a holiday and couldnt see it was so quick,
yes you do get a feeling of unbalance with any eyesight probsi hate walking on my own and cant get used to people walking towards me because they are a blur which i find scary, i can see fuzzy edges of the road but not the car in the middle of it ,if you can understand that ,no one knows untill it happens to them do they?
like you i wanted to talk to someone with the same thing but there was nobody local and not a lot of help was found on the internet at that time, and as for the feeling of anxiety that some times is over whelming and depressing because you feel so alone i set up a website to help others but response has been slow because this condition is so
rare.
i do hope that your results are not too serious when you see the specialist and im thinking of you i found this site and sat and watched Lady years ago when she was carrying Bliss that helped me to use what little sight i have left and i live a few miles from the farm
Sorry Mr Farmer for taking up a lot of space but felt Anjela needed someone to talk to as i once did xx
